Happy CSLA Meet Us Monday! This month we are thrilled to introduce one of our newer members of the CSLA IA team, Cary Szymanek:
Do you have any fun nicknames?
I have two. “Hammer” given to me by my Father-In-Law. The second is “Walter”. My wife calls me Walter because during COVID I would update her throughout the day on the news. She said I was like Walter Cronkite.
What hobbies do you enjoy?
I enjoy cooking, golfing, fishing, and Deer hunting.
What do you do in your free time?
Relax in the backyard with family around a nice fire.
What is your favorite movie?
Miracle.
Favorite song?
Be The One by Dua Lipa.
What would you sing at Karaoke?
I wouldn’t. Don’t want to ruin everyone’s evening with my bad singing.
Favorite sports team?
Chicago Bears, White Sox, Blackhawks (Yep, been through a lot of misery lately, but that’s about to change) and Notre Dame Football.
Favorite book?
“34” Biography about Walter Payton written by his family.
Favorite food?
Aurelio’s Pizza.
Favorite quote?
“Great moments are born from great opportunity.”
Any pet peeves?
Clutter.
Do you have any pets?
German Shepard mix named Ozzie, Cat named Paityn, Goldfish named Buddy, and a Grand-Dog name Tank (He’s an English Bulldog).
Will you share a proud accomplishment?
Raising my two sons. Very proud of both of them.
What’s an interesting fact about yourself?
I married my High School sweetheart. We’ll be together 40 years this December. Also, I have a man-made dimple on my cheek after I ran in to the corner of a chalk rail on a chalkboard.
What is your favorite thing about working with lighting?
You always see the end result.
We hope you enjoyed getting to know Cary and learned something new about him. Check back on the first Monday of each month to learn more about our exceptional CSLA IA team!
